Proficiency Award Scheme – Flipz offers a proficiency award scheme for all gymnasts within the club.  Following the British Gymnastics Rise scheme for our pre-schoolers, we have designed a bespoke award scheme for our recreational gymnasts. 

Core Proficiency – this ranges from 8 – 1 (with badge 8 being the easiest and badge 1 being the most advanced).  Each badge comprises of 12 skills, predominantly on floor, with beam, bars and vault also included.  The gymnasts need to pass all 12 skills on badge 8, and 10 out of the 12 skills on badges 7 to 1.  We ensure that we regularly test the gymnasts throughout the term and tailor our class plans to work on elements from the schemes.

Advanced Proficiency – We offer advanced proficiency on floor, vault/rebound, bars, beam and tumble.  This enables gymnasts to perform to their strengths and achieve on the apparatus that they enjoy/excel on the most.
